A few years ago I messaged Emma saying I was thinking about doing skincare (we’d had so many discussions about how there just weren’t any good brands or lotions without nasties or PUFA's in them). Emma asked me if I wanted a business partner and the rest is history. It's been a long road with the skincare. We've been at it for nearly two years now!! We ended up changing formulators in the end so we could get the product just right.
It was worth the wait because we have the final samples and it should be coming out in the next few months. We’re on the homestretch now, and we are so excited to release these products (finally!!). We have also started formulating makeup. A foundation, lip/cheek tint and bonzer. They will be free from iron oxide, silicones, PUFA, titanium dioxide, aluminium and mineral oil...the first of their kind in the...
I started taking Dissolve-it-all after I got my breast implants taken out in December 2020 to help with the scarring. To be honest I was a bit skeptical but the results were amazing, I've had a noticeable reduction in my scars. If you go to his website you can also read one of the 100s of amazing reviews of this product and not just for scar tissue people have reported improvements in fibrotic breast tissue, arthritis, skin tags, achy joints, digestive issues, fibroids and more.
When you’re younger, everything just heals so fast. But you might notice that with age, scars tend to stick around and become more of a permanent thing. Matt is a firm believer that they don’t...
I remember when I first met Craig, at the same time I met my now business partner Emma Sgourakis. I was like a rat up a drain pipe and quickly converted Craig to pro-metabolic eating.
In fact when Craig and I opened our gym in 2015 we worked with both men and women for 3 years. Craig has a handful or male clients he works with now (husbands of the women in the Winatlife program, he would work with more but he just doesn't have the time).
So many women in our programs ask me about what their husband should be doing or what men can do to eat and train pro-metabolically. I also hear from a lot of women how their husbands aren’t as supportive or understanding about this new way of eating. I get that as they probably think oh here we go again another diet I wonder how long this will last.
So, we thought it would be a good idea to sit down and chat about it. Travis is another...
If you’re a woman and you haven’t read this book, I highly recommend you read it.
Prior to finding Dr Ray Peat's work, Emma Sgourakis (my now business partner) and Craig I suffered with painful and irregular periods, PMS, I had a miscarriage, a D&C, polyps as well pre-cancerous cells removed from my cervix.
If you’ve followed me for a while you’ll also know I cycled through low calorie diets, excessive exercising and I was a big binge drinker for 17 years of my life. I also took the pill for many years and I had no idea what hormonal contraception was doing to my body.
The book is easy to read and contains invaluable information on taking charge of your menstrual cycle and how menstrual cycle health really is the fifth vital sign for women. It also has fantastic information on the pill, IUD's, Depo-Provera and the implant and the effect they have on...
There’s so much good information in this one! Dr. Peat offers up a lot of clarity when it comes to the great vitamin D debate. So, should you supplement vitamin D? Should you not? What else should you know when it comes to vitamin D and your metabolic health?
As a reminder Vitamin D has many names
The three most mentioned in this podcast are
Cholecalciferol also known as D3 (what is in food or supplements)
"Stored D" also know as calcidiol / 25OHD /hydroxycholecalciferol
"Active D" also know as calcitriol / 1,25D
Dr. Peat uses the references of 25OHD /hydroxycholecalciferol (stored) and 1,25D (active)
In this episode we talk about...
The purpose of Vitamin D
How is vitamin D metabolised and stored
How much D is too much?
The difference between Active...
I remember back in my crazy diet days I cut all sugar, fruit and dairy from my diet and had green veggies at every single meal. I also made my own almond milk, ate a lot of nut butters and mainly consumed polyunsaturated fats. I always felt I was doing the right thing eating what I thought was 'clean' and healthy but I was bloated and constipated, I rarely slept through the night, I had painful and irregular periods, I was tired all the time and my hair was falling out.
So I thought I’d sit down with Keith and look at the impact these so called health foods have our on digestion, hormones and thyroid health.
Keith and I also talk about:
Consuming foods in...

She's not only fixed her digestive and menopausal issues but she's also seen a huge improvement in her cellulite. If you had to my Instagram page you can see more of her before and after photos.
I thought it’d get her on the show so she could share her journey and reveal what she eats, how she trains and what supplements she takes.
We talk about:
Len’s health journey and transition into peri-menopause and then menopause
Her...

So I decided to sit down with Craig (my partner in business and in life), fondly known as Coach Sausage in our program. One night on a round table I called him sausage and the name has stuck with him ever since.
Prior to meeting Craig I was stuck on the merry go round of restrictive diets and training two hours per day fasted. I was desperately trying to maintain a certain body weight and lower level of body fat. I fell head over heels with lifting as well as head over heels for Craig and I ended up competing in powerlifting for a few years. Now I just lift because I love it.
When it comes to training context is important. I think the better questions to ask yourself would be:
1 What is my goal?
2 What is my current state of metabolic health. So when I talk about metabolic health markers I mean resting temps and pulses, sleep,...
And her story is so fascinating! I’m sure many women can relate. She spent a large majority of her life spinning her wheels in the wrong directions. Diagnosed with PCOS when she was younger, she was told all the garbage advice like to cut dairy and eat more leafy greens.
Anna says that her health journey even started before her PCOS diagnosis. She believes that her pursuit to be as skinny as possible likely contributed to her eventual diagnosis.
She then went on to try Weight Watchers, low calorie diets, keto, and more. She was also told her PCOS symptoms would likely get worse over time.
But today (after being in our program since July 2020), Anna has said that her most recent blood tests came back with all optimal numbers. Her anxiety has fully disappeared and the physical symptoms have gone away.
She shares what she eats, how she trains and the changes she had to make in her life...
