Hi I'm Kitty Blomfield, CEO and Co-founder of NuStrength and I’m guessing if you’re here, we’ve had similar experiences with food and diets.

For 17 years of my life I followed restrictive diets and worked out 6-7 days a week. And I was miserable.

I rarely slept through the night, I was bloated, my moods were up and down like a yo-yo, I had no energy and crazy sugar cravings. My period was irregular and painful. Every time I lost weight, I just put it back on again.

I was trapped in a vicious cycle that was not only making me miserable, but was also damaging my physical and mental health.

That all changed for me in 2015 when I met Emma Sgourakis, the nutritionist who told me having the body I wanted didn’t mean living off nuts and seeds. She told me it was okay to drink chocolate milk!

Day 3a: Nutrition - Why we Recommend the Foods We Do

Day 3b: Training - Daily Movement

Day 4a: Nutrition - Tracking your Food

How do you achieve anything in life? By setting goals, making a plan, taking action and adjusting along the way.  It should be no different with your health and body goals.  This is why tracking your food is essential to success.  So many women resist tracking their food and then wonder why they never achieve results.  We’ll explain the importance, what we do with the data and show you how to track your food.

Day 4b: Training - Training Execution

Having a training program to follow is all well and good but it’s not going to get you to your goals if you don’t know how to execute your training in a standardised manner.  It’s time to learn about the importance of standardisation of reps, good form and no BS’ing yourself with your training execution.  Want to build lean muscle and burn fat more effectively - understand this! 

Day 5a: Nutrition - Understanding Macros

Day 5b: Training - Training Effort

How effective your training is will be dependent on the EFFORT you put into your training.  Remember that we want to be efficient and not spend hours upon hours in the gym, it is therefore important to understand how to train with intensity and maximum effort so you are getting maximum gain from each exercise you do.  Strength training should be challenging and after today, you’ll know how to ensure you are truly pushing yourself.

This is so true when it comes to your nutrition.  The women who get the best results are the ones who plan in advance, do some meal prep each week and remove the likelihood of having to wing it.  We’ll share with you our top tips for successful meal planning and give you some pointers on how to be organised in the kitchen.

Day 6: Training - Understanding Progressive Overload

Our training methodology is based on the concept of Progressive Overload.  Ummm what? I hear you say…. Don’t worry! We will explain what this means and how you can achieve it.  Having the knowledge to allow you to monitor your progress is essential to success so we’ll keep it nice and simple for you so you know exactly what you should be aiming for each session to make progress.

Today’s your chance to learn about how you can continue to take action and make progress! We’ll share with you the common pitfalls that stop women from achieving and maintaining their goals and give you some key insights to help you stay on track and continue to implement your new behaviours and habits.  Anyone can do this for 7 days, the key is what comes next and how you turn a 7 Day Challenge into the habits of a lifetime!
